Beating Breast Cancer with Success CIC
About Us
Beating Breast Cancer with Success CIC is a new community interest company dedicated to supporting women diagnosed with breast cancer through their emotional, mental, and physical recovery.
Our name reflects a powerful truth: that “success” looks different for every woman. For some, it’s feeling confident in their body again. For others, it’s learning to manage anxiety, rediscover joy, reconnect with their identity, or find the courage to plan for the future.
We believe that beating breast cancer isn’t just about reaching the end of treatment-it’s about celebrating every step of their butterfly journey. From the moment of diagnosis to moments of breakthrough, healing, and growth, each phase holds meaning and strength. Success is in the small wins, the shared smiles, the acts of self-care, and the resilience shown in facing each new day.
At Beating Breast Cancer with Success, we honour the whole journey. The butterfly represents transformation. Through our retreats, events, and supportive community, we aim to help women feel seen, heard, and valued. We create safe spaces for reconnection and care, such as the Butterfly Retreats, Butterfly Breastival, and Butterfly Breast Cancer Awards.
Why Our Work Matters
Many women experience ongoing struggles after breast cancer, including:
- Around 30% of breast cancer survivors experience depression within the first two years after treatment.
- Approximately 20ā30% suffer from anxiety, often linked to fear of cancer returning.
- Up to 50% report sleep disturbances.
- 40ā50% continue to feel significant fatigue, even years after treatment.
- Between 30% and 50% experience fear and anxiety about cancer recurring, sometimes called 'scanxiety'.
These statistics highlight the urgent need for emotional and practical support after treatment ends. Many women feel isolated, overwhelmed, and unsure how to move forward. We aim to change that.
Butterfly Retreats
Our Butterfly Retreats are designed for women living life after breast cancer who feel lost or alone. These life-enhancing retreats offer a calm, supportive space where women can reconnect with themselves, find others who understand, and take time to heal emotionally and mentally. Through meaningful activities, connection, and care, we help women find strength and confidence to rebuild their lives in a way that feels right for them.
Other Programmes & Events
Butterfly Breast Cancer Awards
The Butterfly Breast Cancer Awards is an inspiring annual event that celebrates the strength, resilience, and courage of those affected by breast cancer. This heartwarming evening honours not only women, but also men who have faced breast cancer, as well as the dedicated healthcare professionals, carers, and volunteers who support the breast cancer community. Through powerful stories, emotional tributes, and uplifting moments, we highlight bravery, community, and the journey of transformationāfrom diagnosis and beyond. The awards also pay tribute to those who are no longer with us, honouring their memory and the lasting legacies they leave behind. We recognise those who go above and beyond, bringing hope, awareness, and inspiration to all affected by breast cancer.
Butterfly Breastival
The Butterfly Breastival is a festival-style event designed to bring the breast cancer community together. Itās a place to learn, connect, and be uplifted. From the moment someone is diagnosed with breast cancer, it can feel like stepping into the unknown. Like a caterpillar becoming a butterfly, the journey is filled with uncertainty, change, and growth.
The Breastival is here to guide and support women, men, families, and professionals throughout that journey. It offers stalls, speakers, workshops, and sessions that cover every stageāfrom the moment of diagnosis through treatment, recovery, and the years beyond. Whether you are newly diagnosed or years past your treatment, there is something here for you.
The event also welcomes children and families to create a warm, inclusive environment where we can talk openly about breast cancer and reduce fear through education. Itās about having fun, learning together, and feeling less alone. This is where education meets community in a celebration of hope, support, and strength.

We deliver educational and practical sessions covering topics such as menopause after breast cancer, body confidence, returning to work, and mental health, as well as areola tattooing, post-surgery exercises, holistic therapies, lymphatic drainage, and beauty support - including wigs, hair loss advice, and confidence-boosting treatments.
